County Commission District 3

A Fresh Outlook for Gallatin County

I've lived in Gallatin County for 30 years and I've seen lots of changes, and now it's time for me to make a positive impact on the next 30 years. This is the first time that I've run for public office, and I will bring a fresh outlook to the Gallatin County Commission. My experience in business and personnel consulting enables me to tackle the tough challenges facing the county.

My Goals

I will work for:

Biography

I moved to Gallatin County in 1976, and finished my BS degree that I had started at Eastern Washington University. I graduated from Montana State University in 1979, in Home Economics Education. My son, Ryan was born that year, and Rachel was born in 1983. They both graduated from Bozeman Senior High School and continued their education at the University of Utah, where Ryan graduated and Rachel will finish next year after completing her student teaching.

In 1984 I began running a small business, Sounds Easy Video, until it was sold in 1991. That experience taught me how difficult it can be to be the small independent retailer in competition with the national chain and "Big Box" stores. My commitment to the locally owned business community came from having been a member of it.

From 1992 until now I have been working as a consultant for Fortune Personnel Consultants. I recruit and place candidates in research and development roles in medical companies across the United States. Fourteen years working as the liaison between employees and corporate officers has made me a consensus builder. Helping people with diverse goals has convinced me that anything is possible with cooperation, communication, and commitment
.

I will bring a fresh outlook to the Gallatin County Commission, based on cooperation, communication, and commitment. I am excited about facing the challenges ahead. I know that I don't have all the answers, but together we can work toward meaningful solutions for Gallatin County.
