Bob Hawks for Montana Senate:

Hello Fellow Montanans, My campaign is well underway; we are personally taking our message house to house. The emphasis is on stabilizing a quality education and maintaining a sustainable, clean natural environment. This is the basic pedestal upon which our quality of life and economic base are built. I recognize the need to control costs and to create a balanced tax system that is fair to businesses and individuals, one that is somewhat progressive and considerate of the less-privileged. The solution demands a more civil, and less partisan, legislative process.
It is time for POSITIVE LEADERSHIP and POSITIVE ACTION!
VISION AND TENACITY
MY POSITIONS ON THE ISSUES:
· I will raise quality education to a high priority and fund it appropriately.
· I will take the lead in making sure we have safe water and clean air.
· I will insist that the extraction of natural resources meets strict environmental guidelines.
· I will support policy that attracts venture capital for business development.
· I will search for ways to bring affordable medical insurance coverage to all in our state.
· I will insist on efficient state government and adequately funded essential services.
· I will consider all tax reform options and make sure the burden is fairly distributed.
· I will support prudent changes to regain control of Montana's energy costs.
· I will safeguard and support expanded public access for hunting and fishing.
