Way out here on the Front Range far from Seattle and the prying eyes of ...well...just about everyone except coyotes, deer and some tree huggers, lo and behold, Montanans are hosting the fifth round of trade talks between South Korea and the United States in Big Sky, Montana. A group of protesters have arrived all the way from Korea and will be joined by local activists. What’s interesting to me, a cattle rancher, is that this could be a perfect opportunity for cattle ranchers, environmentalists, and anti-trade activists to form a new and powerful coalition.</blockquote><br /> TODAY, 10:00 AM, Room 275 in the Student Union Building at Montana State<br /> University<br /> Wendy Cutler, will give a presentation. Ice and paper goods will be supplied. If you need a<br /> serving plate returned to you after the party please make sure you mark it<br /> with your name (masking tape works well).<br /> Party coordinator Crystal Stanionis is in need of:<br /> -monetary donations to cover the big-screen tv rental (approximately $60)<br /> -monetary donations for food, drink (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic), ice,<br /> and decorations. <br /> These donations will supplement what the Gallatin<br /> Democrats can provide and what party-goers will bring.<br /> <B>Volunteer help needed</B><br /> <B>-people to help decorate Tuesday afternoon/early evening</B><br /> <B>-people who will commit to cleaning-up the morning of the 8th</B><br /> -three people who will each donate a food cooler for the storage of ice<br /> -three people who will each donate a large trash can for the evening<br /> -one person who will allow the Gallatin Democrats to borrow their rabbit-ear<br /> compatible TV for the evening. Either show up or join us in the parade. Bozeman is a Democrat town. This will be very fun.
