Two Letters to the editor in Todays Bozeman Chronicle:
JP is straight shooter
... Bill Warden said in his Oct. 8 letter to the Chronicle that he believes he accomplished his goal of being nonpartisan in his first term as the HD 63 representative.
I do not believe the record really reflects this assertion. He's voted along party lines repeatedly. A case in point was HB 560, the stream access bill, where in 2005 he and the other Republicans deadlocked the bill in committee. That is not crossing the aisle! It is important that the voters not let a candidate get away with making statements to appear moderate when in fact they have not been. Examples of Warden's party line voting run the gamut of issues. Please check his record for yourself, and then decide.
Supports stream access
The bill was deadlocked in committee and shot down by the bloc voting of Gallatin County's representatives, Scott Sales, Roger Koopman and Bill Warden. This is surprising since all three men identify themselves as interested in hunting and fishing rights.
None of these representatives would work in a bipartisan way to vote for a bill that would benefit sportsmen. Warden voted the straight party line in committee against the bill when a yes vote was vitally important.
Here's what Brady Wiseman, who has worked with Bill Warden, has to sayBut Bill is no moderate. He votes with his leadership time after time. And the men who lead the Montana House Republican caucus are some of the most extreme in the state. So don't you believe any campaign material that claims that Bill was reaching across the aisle, because he didn't

Voters in House District 63 are fortunate to have a very qualified
candidate to represent them in the Montana State Legislature. Jennifer
Pomnichowski has all of the qualifications we look for. She is honest,
intelligent, dedicated, and experienced. As your representative, JP will
continue to be committed to working for responsible, sustainable growth,
protecting Montana's natural assets, funding our schools, and supporting
strong business development. Jennifer Pomnichowski is a lady we can be
proud of to help keep Montana a special place to live and work. Make your
vote count on June 6.

We strongly urge voters in District 63 to cast their ballots for JP
Pomnichowski in June. She is a fifth-generation Montanan, an MSU graduate
and has lived in Bozeman for 21 years. As a student she served in the
student senate and worked successfully in Helena to retain our school of
architecture accreditation. Her work then and her subsequent service on the
city planning board, chair of the zoning commission, original and continuing
member of the inter-neighborhood council and other city and neighborhood
groups reflects a powerful commitment to maintaining Montana's quality of
life.
Because she is interested in lending a helping hand where she can, she was a
volunteer firefighter/EMT for ten years on the Bridger Canyon Fire
department. To keep her considerable mathematical skills sharp, she has
been a 17-year member of the MSU Bobcat gameday statistics crew. JP has a
much larger vision for Montana than other candidates. Knowledgeable on the
business end of affairs as well as public policy, JP would bring a great
deal of energy and experience to our state legislature.
JP's civic and MSU efforts underscore traits which characterize every
aspect of her life: honesty, intelligence, competence and commitment. In a
field of good candidates for your vote, these signposts of years of hard and
successful efforts require your consideration. Please vote for her.

I am writing this letter in support of JP Pomnichowski for state
Legislature. A lifelong Montanan, JP is not just interested in politics for
the sake of politics. She has a passion for improvement and preservation
that is readily obvious to those who know her. She genuinely wants to make a
difference in her local community - as proven by her continuous involvement
with the Bozeman Planning Board and Zoning Commission, among several other
city and county committees - in addition to protecting Montana's resources
and advocating for the issues that matter to Montanans.
For example, one of JP's goals is to introduce legislation about coalbed
methane drilling. She's a neighbor of the dedicated residents of Gallatin
County who have defended their local area from destructive mining practices,
and desires that the same protections that have been established in the
Bozeman Pass Zoning District be applied to similar sites statewide. This
illustrates JP's commitment not only to Bozeman and Gallatin County, but
also to the entire state of Montana.
Because of her involvement in the Bozeman
Planning Board and Bozeman Zoning Commission, Jen has a unique knowledge of
the ways in which Bozeman is expanding, and works hard with every project to
see the natural settings preserved through that growth. She is a true
champion of managed progress. Her strategic mind turns not only to what we
need immediately, but also to how we can utilize our present decisions to
accomplish a desired future: good-paying jobs, high-quality schools,
maintenance of public services, and preservation of the natural beauty of
Gallatin County.
I hope that the Bozeman community will consider backing JP Pomnichowski
for state Legislature. Through her partnership with other policymakers and
her representation of the hopes and needs of Montanans, I believe we will
arrive at our desired future together.

This is a note to all of us in House District 63. The primary election is on
Tuesday, June 6, and I will be very proud to cast my vote for my fellow
quilter and friend, J.P. Pomnichowski. She is a lifelong Montanan with the
knowledge and experience required for the position of state representative.
Her work in city, county and state development demonstrates her common sense
approach to both developmental and environmental issues. Here's to you, Jen,
and you have our vote.

There is a man running in the Democratic primary who is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and who will make a very fine legislator. He was appointed to the local government study commission unanimously by the City Commission and he has worked hard developing a city constitution. He is an active volunteer at Eagle Mount and really enjoys doing community service.
He is a bright, intelligent man who has been going door to door in House District 63 to visit about issues important to the voters. Maybe you have met him. He's the one with the big smile and the overwhelming knowledge about our state Legislature.
The man is John Trull. He will serve you well in Helena. Please vote for John on June 6 in the primary election. When you vote in the primary you don't declare a party affiliation. In the privacy of the voters booth you choose to vote for your party's candidates. Primaries are very important, especially this year when we have so many contested races. And remember John Trull for House District 63.
