Presidential Election Data Gallatin County Montana
I think you will find the following data regarding how Gallatin County Montana voted for U.S. Presidential candidates since its first national election in 1892. This is particularly interesting because Barack Obama won in Gallatin County in the 2008 election – the first democrat to do so since 1944.
The resources for these data are An Atlas of Montana Politics Since 1864 by Ellis Waldron, and Big Sky Politics: Campaigns and Elections in Modern Montana, by Jon Bennion.

Gallatin County Democrats printed 10,000 color brochures and mailed and delivered them to thousands of Democrat voters to encourage them to vote the Democratic Slate. The brochure was designed by JP Pomnichowski. This black and white version of the brochure cover was printed the week before elections in the MSU Exponent, the student newspaper.
